Although Greek exports of kiwifruit are relatively small, their performance is stable.

According to Greek exporters of kiwifruit, despite the global outbreak of the new crown, the company's products still perform relatively well in major European markets.
Although the output of kiwifruit in Greece this year has decreased compared with the previous year, the output of kiwifruit vines in Italy has fallen sharply due to the "morìa" outbreak in the past two seasons of kiwifruit vines, which brings opportunities for Greece.
According to Kallitsis, despite the small export volume, Greek exports are still fairly stable, while Proto exports have declined slightly. As of the end of January, Proto exported approximately 6,000 tons of kiwi fruit, compared with 7,000 tons in the same period last year. For Proto, the biggest change this year is the Asian market. At this time last year, as concerns about the new crown epidemic intensified, the Asian market was severely disrupted.
"Sales started slower this season," Kallitsis said. "Some problems last year made customers extra cautious. But now life in China seems to be back to normal, and the volume of transactions in the Chinese market has started to climb."
