
The "2020/21 Southern Hemisphere Blueberry Export Yearbook" released by the agricultural product industry consulting company iQonsulting shows that this year's southern hemisphere blueberry exports set a new record. The total export volume reached more than 310,000 tons, an increase of 20% year-on-year, mainly due to the export growth of Peru, Chile, South Africa and Colombia.

Date show that Peru rank first with 163000 tons, and nearly half of blueberries in the South Africa come from Peru. Chile is the second largest of blueberry exporter in the southern hemisphere, accounting for 38%of the total exports of 2020/21 season. The export volume of this quarter was nearly 180,000tons, an increase of 8% over the previous quarter.

In recent years, Chile's organic blueberry exports have been outstanding, with the peak in December to February of the next year. The export volume of fresh organic blueberries increased significantly, Ñ Double and biob à O the export growth in the region is most obvious, mainly due to the increase of production area and the strengthening of management mode.
