FstSort has recently introduced an optical apple sorter to the European market. This color classifier is capable of sorting by shape, weight, size and color. Using visual sorting technology, we can inspect apples for external defects such as mechanical damage, bruises, rot, cracks, and yellow-brown color.

For apples, external factors are an important part of the buying decision. Packing houses typically require a large number of workers to sort good apples from bad. To minimize labor costs, our latest optical apple sorting equipment can do this in a single pass. For each sorting outlet, data on volume, size, defects and weight are available. Single and dual lane sorters are ideal for small to medium packing warehouses, but can also be connected to our larger multi-lane sorters.

The North American market has shown great interest from apple growers as well as French, German and Italian apple exporters. FstSort optical grading machine is capable of grading apples as well as dragon fruit, tomatoes, peaches, citrus, sweet potatoes, potatoes, persimmons, pears, peaches and nectarines.
