According to industry estimates, New Zealand's avocado production in the 2021/22 season will reach about 5 million boxes, maintaining the level of last year. Avoco, a marketing exporter in the country, said that the planting conditions were good this season, and the avocado size performed better than the previous season. It is expected that 60% of the production will be exported.

Although New Zealand's export logistics situation is still unclear, Avoco Marketing Communications Manager Steve Trickett said that the company has done its best to ensure that its Avanza brand avocados reach the export market smoothly.
"Avanza has already made market planning, and the volume of exports to Asia this season will increase significantly. Although the final export volume will depend on the performance of freight services, the current plan is to send 20% of our volume to ten Asian markets. , Sold under the Avanza brand. This is a significant increase from the 7% share in the previous quarter."
New Zealand avocados gained access to the Chinese market four years ago. Trickett believes that the time is now ripe to seize the potential of the Chinese market.
