

After years of dedication to the Chinese market, renowned Italian kiwifruit brand Jingold has gained significant recognition across the Far East. In particular, its signature variety Jintao stands as one of the world’s leading yellow-fleshed kiwifruit varieties. With its balanced sweet-tart flavor and delicate, tender texture, it has won the hearts of many Chinese consumers.

To guarantee a stable year-round supply, Jingold has established extensive cultivation bases across both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. In the Northern Hemisphere, production is concentrated in Italy, Greece and Portugal, while Chile, South Africa and Argentina serve as the primary production hubs in the Southern Hemisphere.Jingold’s first shipment from the Northern Hemisphere for this season successfully arrived in Shenzhen on Dec. 25. To gain deeper insights into the kiwifruit giant’s export plans for the Chinese market this season, Produce Report conducted an exclusive interview with Moreno Armuzzi, the company’s sales manager.

At the retail level, Jingold will partner with major channels this season, including Sam’s Club, Freshippo, Dingdong Maicai, Pupu and RT-Mart M Club stores. To strengthen its presence on the Chinese market, the company officially adopted the Chinese brand name “奇焕” (qí huàn) for Jingold in 2024. In Chinese, this name conveys the meaning of vitality and renewal. The company hopes to infuse the lives of consumers with continuous energy through its premium products.
