Over the past few years, FstSort has been receiving increasing requests to provide a line for processing, grading and packaging products grown in conventional or hydroponic greenhouses, particularly tomatoes, bell peppers, but also cucumbers and eggplants. "We have sold a variety of devices, mainly in countries like Qatar, Lebanon, Russia and the United Arab Emirates, and of course within China," Wang said. A month ago, a tomato visual sorting system capable of handling 10 tons per hour was delivered to Gansu, China. The line is also suitable for popular products such as green peppers, apples and mangoes.

After learning about the actual needs of all our customers, "we decided to develop a specific line for these products. In addition, we managed to develop an electronic grader that can process all tomato varieties - traditional round and flat - as well as square bell peppers. This helps our customers a lot because they can process multiple products with one line."
Another factor is the extreme modularity of the system." We often operate in countries where Labour costs are low, and in those cases we don't automate the process too much because it's not worth it. However, in areas where Labour costs are much higher, or where it is difficult to find workers, we introduce self-unloading systems (with robots), as well as palletizer and/or strapping systems for transport."
"For rectangular products, we have had to develop a special line with shorter barrels for cucumbers, eggplants and zucchini, as the size and weight of these products are much smaller in the region where we operate than in Europe."
This year, we plan to attend the Aisa fruit Logistica in Hong Kong, where we meet with many of our customers, and the current policies in China have given buyers from all over the world renewed confidence in the Chinese market. We will be attending more international exhibitions in the near future, visiting clients everywhere.
