On June 25, the General Administration of Customs of China issued the "Announcement on Plant Quarantine Requirements for Importing Fresh Soft-fleshed Kiwifruit from New Zealand", allowing the import of fresh soft-fleshed kiwifruit from New Zealand that meets the relevant requirements.
Soft-fleshed kiwifruit, also known as kiwiberry, is scientifically known as Actinidia arguta. It is about 1/10 the size of ordinary kiwifruit. When the fruit is ripe, the skin is green-yellow or purple-red. It tastes delicious, very sweet, slightly sour, and tastes similar to kiwifruit, but without the rough and hairy skin.
