According to the data from the customs, from January to December 2020, the total export volume of fresh or refrigerated garlic in China exceeded 2 million tons for the first time, reaching 2.232 million tons, setting a new record for garlic export in the past 10 years. In December, China's garlic export situation remained good, foreign Christmas stock is still in progress, and overseas buyers' orders increased. Export processing plants purchase large quantities of raw materials to make cabinets. Indonesian and South Asian products are more popular in the market, and garlic exports are showing an increase in volume. In addition, due to the continuous spread of the overseas epidemic, the supply and demand balance of the international garlic market has been disturbed, which has also created additional market advantages for China's garlic export. In January 2021, garlic export market continues to be hot. At present, many countries are increasing the import volume, especially the Netherlands, Canada and the United States. The import demand is increasing, and the overseas orders are soaring by 50%, which also drives up the domestic garlic price.
