China's avocado imports have grown rapidly in recent years, with only 4 tons in 2008 soaring to 43,800 tons in 2018. Also in 2018, China has become the world's 9th largest importer of avocados, and traditional avocado suppliers such as Peru, Mexico, Chile and New Zealand have benefited a lot from the Chinese market.
